Welcome to Lilli's Page
Join me in my efforts to support SPCA of Texas!
Lilli is recovering from ACL surgery. Everything is progressing well and she should be almost as good as new by Strut Your Mutt! She loved the 3K so much, we decided to let her do it again. We all (Lilli, Jimmie and I) appreciate the support you've shown Lilli in the past and look forward to raising money for this great cause.
Thank you for supporting SPCA of Texas. Your contribution is greatly appreciated!
My Personal blog
On Saturday I FINALLY got back to my therapy work! I really love visiting the nurses and patients at the hospital. I haven't been since before my accident at Thanksgiving, so it was great to be back! We have a new chaperone and I think she really liked me, she kept taking my picture. I met a lot of nice people and a couple new student nurses. (They were really excited when they found out they could also pet me, not just patients) Mom didn't think I would last very long, but I stayed my 2 hour shift and didn't even get tired! I'm ready for Strut Your Mutt!!

Today I went back to visit my surgeon for X-rays and a check-up. Mom got to see my x-rays and they look pretty scary! My bone they cut is growing back pretty well. I had a hard time waking up from the anesthetic, I was completely out of it until after 6 pm. Mom had to call my Aunt cause she was getting nervous they had messed something up.
Bad news...4 more weeks of being quiet. I'm REALLY tired of it and am trying to get my 'rents to play or chase me every chance I get!
The good news, I am getting my walks in so I will be ready to Strut with the mutts in May!

Lilli's surgeon originally planned that the only physical therapy Lil would need is walking. We have been gradually lengthening her walks the last few weeks. Yesterday I think we had a slight set back...she made it all the way around the block (our blocks are pretty long), but stopped using her hind leg yesterday evening. Hopefully it was just the cold snap we had. She goes back in for check-up and x-rays in 2 weeks, we will see what her doc says then. Fingers crossed...
We still have plenty of time for her to get in shape in time for Strut Your Mutt! (May 12th)
